In an exciting partnership, we recently collaborated with The North Face and Australian Director Brett Williams to create a short adventure documentary. The brief was to produce a compelling story about a young woman discovering her cultural identity and pushing the boundaries of Tongan climbing. With some seriously challenging logistics to navigate, Simon was enlisted for his solid reputation with cinematography and storytelling, as well as his behind the scenes knowledge of the climbing scene in Tonga.
The finished film Pacific Lines is a crafted balance of adventure and humanity, and it expertly connects viewers to the heart of this young woman’s story. In breaking news, we’ve just found out we’ve been awarded a “Special Jury Award” at the New Zealand Mountain Film Festival, where it will also have its New Zealand premiere.
